Hope — in a few seconds
Hope in seconds— for a good school system
Going from the impossible — to not just possible — it’s already been done.
Think about it
If something doesn’t work:
What is the first step? Every single time?
Identify the problem.
If a car won’t start, the first step is not to just start replacing parts:
- the engine
- the transmission
- the tires
It’s the same with the school system.
Why doesn’t today’s school system work?
It’s trying to solve the wrong problem
— an impossible problem.
Get students — who are all different — to learn at the same pace.
(To see today’s system in detail, see Today’s school system.)
It’s impossible to make this system work
meant, as it is, to do the impossible.
That’s why we need a new school system.
But first, we need a new problem
— the right problem.
Why design a new system:
- if we don’t know “What is the problem?”
- In which case how would we even know if we’re making any progress?
Here is the hope.
If we solve the Right Problem — and it’s already been done, decades ago, by brilliant pioneers — we can have a good school system.
